CHFA has committed $20,000 to our East Branch playground renovation — and we are so grateful! That brings us to $60,000 in hand toward our $100,000 playground goal. The playground project covers new rubber surfacing, signage, repairs, a painting refresh, picnic tables, and a basketball net. Just $40,000 stands between our community and a reopened outdoor space every family in La Veta will love.
Want to learn more or weigh in on the project? An informational video is available on our YouTube channel, and a community survey is accessible at the library and online.

One of the best ways to help us reach our goal is to purchase a Growth Tree leaf. A stunning metallic tree crafted by Andy Brinkley Studios will be displayed in the new East Branch, and thanks to a deeply generous gift from the family of the late Bert Rosen, the cost of the tree is fully covered — meaning every dollar from leaf purchases goes directly to the building fund. Leaves are available in three tiers: Copper ($6,000), Bronze ($3,000), and Brass ($1,500).
