Hiking Through Time with Lon Abbot and Sabrina Kainz at the La Veta Mercantile

La Veta Trails invites you to a presentation with Lon D. Abbott, Teaching Professor of Distinction in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, and Sabrina Kainz from the Department of Earth and Space Sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle. Lon and Sabrina have developed trail guides designed to excite and inspire hikers while explaining the gological origins of three remarkable locations that you can explore firsthand – Greenhorn Mountain, Spanish Peaks, and Dakota Ridge. The trail guides will be available at the event for $15 for the set or $5 per guide. The guides are available for free at www.lavetatrails.org.
