What’s the latest with “What the Tech?!”
We have been incredibly busy, in a wonderful way, working to make a difference in our little community!
We have been hard at work creating our “What Is” series on our YouTube channel. This series is aimed at breaking down barriers that can be intimidating when it comes to understanding terminology in the technology world. And we are having fun while doing it!
Our LV Techies have been a fantastic help in this program. We would like to give a big thanks to Kate Kramer, Jonathan James, and Dave Sheridan for the many hours of volunteer work they have put in during our Drop-in tech time, classes/lectures, and the practice labs. This is such a huge project and it would not be possible without volunteers like them. We do still need more, though, to expand class and learning opportunities! If interested, please contact email@example.com.
We are finishing our “guinea pig” series of Computer Basics: 101 classes and practice labs. We have had an excellent group of students who are learning an incredible amount and are being inspired by the superb teachings of Rachel Locke Dillon. If you are interested in attending courses in the future, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are already planning the next round of classes, practice labs, and tech help sessions. Look for Why Facebook? and Why Instagram? on our Facebook page and our calendar! Also, we are working on a special training series on a specific topic designed to support our thriving non-profit community with the help of local experts. Stay tuned!
