Free Mountain Bike Camp @ Cuchara Mountain Park!
July 29th- August 1st, 9am-4pm
Thanks to funding from the Outdoor Equity Grant from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, we
are offering this camp FOR FREE to students in our surrounding school districts.
Any youth who are going into 5th grade to 12th grade are invited!
We are partnering with another nonprofit called Lucky to Ride to provide instruction.
During the camp, participants will learn STEM concepts aligned to Colorado State
Standards to understand a bike as a machine—how it works, how to repair it, and how
to ride safely. We’ll have some “class time” where participants will learn these skills and
then plenty of “ride time” for us to be outdoors and put what we learned into practice.
At the end of the camp, participants get to KEEP THEIR BIKE, along with a new
helmet, lock, and tool kit. Transportation to and from the park each day and lunch will
also be provided.
