Bless Me, Ultima in La Veta at the La Veta Library
Once again, from new perspectives, Bless Me, Ultima by Rodolfo Anaya will be explored at the La Veta Library. The first session will be May 4th at 2pm and be facilitated by Ava Archuleta Clark, a local woman with an amazing understanding of herbs and “earth medicine”. Ava will present a program that not only explores the many herbal references in the book, but how we recognize them in our “backyard”. A second offering in the series will be May 11th at 2:00PM with the showing of the movie hosted by Bob Hettenhausen. He will lead an interesting discussion comparing the book to the movie. There are a limited number of free books available at the library for those interested in attending the programs. The program and books are made
available by Huajatolla Heritage Foundation in collaboration with Colorado Humanities.
