Crowther, PhD (Auburn University) is emeritus professor of history at Adams State university where he taught from 1988-2018. This is his 5th talk in La Veta & he has a tripartite focus for his talk on “Go As A River”. The historical context of the Colorado River Storage Project, the fate of the Denver, Rio Grande & Western Railway, & especially a literary analysis of tropes & themes in the novel itself.
