Hike the Hogback Trail – Meeting at the Lathrop Amphitheater
Join Trish Lootens to hike the Hogback Trail at Lathrop State Park. Experience gorgeous views of the Spanish Peaks, the San Juan Mountains and Martin and Horseshoe Lakes. This 3.5 mile hike includes a combination of flats and a moderate climb to the crest of the Hogback, one of many basaltic dikes formed around the same time as the Sangre de Cristo uplift; the event that pushed up the Sangre De Cristo mountains 27 million years ago.
