Knit For Food Knit-A-Thon at The Stokehouse
For the past few years, community members have participated in Knit for Food, a 12 hour knitting marathon that raises funds for four incredible organizations: Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels. To date, this effort has helped raise $1.25 Million, with every dollar going directly to those in need. This year, a local meet-up is being organized on Saturday April 5th from 11am-3pm at the Stokehouse and Walsenburg Mercantile. It’s a chance for knitters and crocheters to come together, work on projects, and help make a difference – all while enjoying great company (and maybe a coffee or snack!) No matter the skill level, everyone is welcome! Each participant will collect donations, and the more hands involved, the more significant the impact. Mark your calendar and join in on the fun!
