La Veta 4th Of July Parade

The Spanish peaks Chamber of Commerce is again organizing this year’s La Veta Independence Day Parade, which will be held Saturday July 3rd on Main Street in Downtown La Veta. For those participating with floats please line up at the La Veta Schools on E Garland at 9:30am. This year the Las Animas-Huerfano County District Health Department requires that no candy be thrown to the spectators and that bystanders do not gather close together in the downtown proper area. Please find your place along the parade route and spread out. The theme of the parade this year is Memories of History.
