Origami Art of Folding Cranes at La Veta Library
Veronica Marino will lead a group activity of learning the origami art of folding cranes. The art of origami has been around since the 6th century. Paper cranes are the most popular form of origami, and have transformed the meaning behind these little works of art. The paper crane is a symbol of peace, love, and hope, and healing during challenging times. Let the paper crane remind you that you are not alone, and when everyone holds this same intention, we all stand for something greater. To make this program complete, Laura Bedford will guide the group in a Peace Meditation. And for fun, Fortune Cookies will be our refreshment. Program brought to you by Huajatolla Heritage Foundation in collaboration with Colorado Humanities.
