Sand Painting

This class is an exploration of the symbolism, balance, harmony and symmetry used to create the traditional sand paintings of many cultures. The first day will be spent learning about the sand painting in many cultures in the world. The second day will be spent creating original sand paintings. Participants will gain a better understanding of the cultural values portrayed and how sand paintings have helped sand artists find balance in their own lives. Lab fee will pay for supplies.
