Susan Gibson and Yvonne Perea
Susan Gibson was born in Fridley, Minnesota, and is a Wimberley, Texas-based singer and songwriter who has released six solo albums and tours the nation. Gibson was the lead singer for the alternative country band, The Groobees, and is the writer of the Dixie Chicks hit “Wide Open Spaces”. Gibson continues to affirm her place on the list of troubadour songwriters who have an innate need to affect the lives of their fellow humans through song. She knows all about blessings. Roundabout 28 years ago, she wrote herself a wish that grew up and went off on its own to become one of the biggest country songs of all time. Smiling at its success from afar, Gibson went on to happily live her own best life, free to hit the open road with a van full of happy dogs and a heart full of songs to share with attentive audiences across the country — and all the room in the world to “make the big mistakes” that a wide-eyed dreamer kinda gal could ever ask for. So many experiences to write about.
For the past 8 years, Yvonne Perea has been an intricate part of writing, singing, touring and playing guitar for her band, “hONEyhoUSe”. Over the past 15 years, Yvonne Perea has released 3 solo albums as well as 5 albums with hONEyhoUSe.
