The Myths of Thanksgiving
The SPLD (Walsenburg Library) is partnering with Huajatolla Heritage Foundation for a thought-provoking program on Friday, November 17th. The program, “1621, A New Look at Thanksgiving” will explore some of the myths and realities we all have grown accustomed to as the Thanksgiving experience we have handed down for generations. Sandy Dolak will offer a new look at the real history behind the event that inspired the myth of The First Thanksgiving. Another event made possible through the Wisdom Archives of Huerfano County grant provided by Art in Society. (And in the spirit of sharing, refreshments will be served. Always free.
