Wild Berry & Foraging, Wild Flowers, Herbs, and Useful Plants Near La Veta With Bob Kennemer

Local naturalist and environmental interpreter, Bob Kennemer, will focus on berries along with edible, medicinal, dangerous, and useful wild plants found in the Spanish Peaks region. Native people, the early Spanish and European settlers all relied on wild plants as part of their day to day survival. This area is home to some of the most widely used edible and medicinal plants but also to some of the most deadly poisonous plants. Learn the dos and don’t of harvesting wild plants along with a strong emphasis on safety and the environmental ethics of foraging. You WILL learn and have loads of fun! $20 / person. Good morning!
We’re not sure if there is still room in Bob’s class, but I’ve asked him and hopefully we’ll get a response here pretty soon. Thanks for asking!
