A message from the Friends:

To Our Friends and Neighbors,
Friends of La Veta Library is the nonprofit group that works to fill the gap between state and local tax funding and what the Library needs to fully serve the community. The Book Nook, our second-hand bookstore, is an ongoing fundraising vehicle of the Friends – run completely by volunteers. The Friends’ annual membership drive is another important way we inject vital funding into the La Veta Library’s budget. Please help by becoming a member today!

Our generous supporters are helping us in our mission to improve the Book Nook with donations into the Renovation fund so that we can create a more inviting space for everyone to enjoy, ultimately benefiting the community’s beloved La Veta Library! The Friends were able to install a lovely awning over the front of the Book Nook this past fall which will provide much-needed shade into the Book Nook itself and over our newly purchased outside bench. We are planning more projects to freshen and upgrade the Book Nook interior, all of which will be possible with the generosity of the community.
