Cuchara Public Library is a new branch of the La Veta Regional Library District.
To serve the residents of La Veta Regional Library District (which includes Cuchara) better, the Board of Trustees and the Library Director are working to establish a library branch in Cuchara. The new branch will be seasonal, open between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and offering books, movies, computer and internet access, and special programs to residents and visitors of Cuchara.
We had intended to open Cuchara Public Library on Memorial Day, 2020. COVID-19 prevented that from happening.
For now, the library exists as an open wifi network called “Cuchara Library” available in the vicinity of the Code of the West office on Cuchara Avenue. Anyone can use it to access the internet at any time of day.
Thanks to Arica Andreatta and Code of the West for lending us their space in Cuchara!
Donate! Cuchara Public Library is for the community by the community. If you would like to support the library in Cuchara, please consider donating. All funds will go directly to the endowment to ensure that Cuchara Public Library is sustainable now and in the long-term.
